Have you always wanted to drive a steam engine? One thing’s for sure, not many people under the age of 75 have ever driven a steam engine on the Middy! Well, now’s your chance.
Following the success of our popular ‘Driver Experience’ days over the past few years, we are again running these courses in 2008. You can spend the whole day at Brockford when you will drive and fire ‘Little Barford’. You can take a turn as guard - even on our short run we need to do things properly. Tea is available all day in the mess hut and a snack will be provided for lunch. Firstly, you will be enrolled as a member of the Middy for a year, which gives you free access to the museum on any open day including the special events. Cost GBPounds150.
