THE FRAMLINGHAM BRANCH
After some delay, Oakwood Press have now published Peter Paye’s new book called “The Framlingham Branch”. In the same handy pocket sized format typical of Oakwood Press books, once again, Peter has done a magnificent job in giving the complete history of the branch. The book is well illustrated as usual, with many pictures by Dr Ian C Allen, who was the local GP in the town for many years.

MANNINGTREE STATION
Written by the founder of the East Anglian Film Archive, David Cleveland, this new hard back book is a personal look a Manningtree station (David lives in the town) in 2007, with reminiscences, photographs and history of former times. It also contains (tucked in a pocket in the rear inside cover) a DVD containing two films made by David – one about the station in 1979 and the second about electrification in 1987.
