We all have a terrific time running the museum and the railway.
Please join us - whether as a 'regular' or on an occasional basis - I’m sure you will enjoy it and you will be made to feel most welcome.
If you would like to get involved or just talk about possibilities, please contact our Volunteer Co-ordinator, you will find details on the contacts page.
We need volunteers for 'Open Days', 'Working Parties' and general help running the museum. Apart from the weekend work, we have a regular 'Wednesday Gang', which has become something of an 'institution' with a large team of regulars who enjoy organized social events when not 'grafting'!
Examples of the work include :-
Carriage and wagon restoration and maintenance, permanent way gang, building and site maintenance, footplate crew, porters , guards, shop staff, refreshment room and bar staff.
On the admin side, we need staff to handle fund-raising projects, assist generally with marketing, cataloguing the museum collection and a myriad of other light tasks.
So, if you have time on your hands and are wondering what
you can do .... come along and join us at Brockford Station!
