Our summer programme ran from 30th April until 3rd September on Sunday’s and Bank Holidays – opening times from 10.30am through to 4.30pm. Information on the later opening days can be found on the What’s On pages. Tickets for 26th November Vintage & Bygones Fair and New Year’s Day are only available from the Ticket Office on the day.
Your ticket allows you access to the site and all its facilities including train rides throughout the day.
Standard Steam Day Entry Prices: Adult (16 and over) £12, Child (age 5 to 15) £6, Concession (over 65) £10, Family (2+2) £30, Essential carer Free with full paying disabled visitor, Under 5’s Free Except special events Middy in the 40s and Santa Specials which are separately priced.

While the MSLR endeavours to provide the advertised service and motive power where possible, sometimes this may not be possible. Preserved locomotives and rolling stock can be temperamental, meaning late changes may occasionally be necessary. The MSLR cannot be held responsible for any disappointment or inconvenience caused by any amendments or cancellations to services made at short notice.
Tickets for Vintage & Bygones event on Sunday 26th November and New Year’s Day are only available from the ticket office on the day and cannot be pre-booked in advance.
Santa Special Bookings must be booked in advance and will not be available from the Ticket Office on the day.
All Santa Special trains are currently sold out. If you would like to join the waiting list in case of cancellations, please go to the next page where train times are listed, select the date and time you are interested in booking and then select join waiting list. You will then automatically be notified should we get a cancellation for your chosen date and time.
