New diesel arrival at the Middy

We are pleased to announce another addition to the Middy fleet of locos, class 02 no. 003

This is a Yorkshire Engine Company 0-4-0 diesel hydraulic shunter, one of 20 built in 1960 for British Railways.

Now owned by a Middy member and originally numbered D2853, the 02’s purpose on the Middy will be for business continuity at times of locomotive failure and times of high fire risk.
