Country and Moving Gala 3rd and 4th September

The Country Railway Gala on the 3rd and 4th September will have an added attraction in that most of the Middy’s historic rolling stock will be included in the shunting demonstrations. This will include movements of the oldest known railway horsebox, our TOAD short wheelbase brake van used by Hornby for their model template

and, of course, rides in the oldest known Great Eastern Railway carriage, no.140 of 1863.

Plus the annual visit from the Old Ram Vintage Tractor Club and Morris Dancers on both days, the last normal open weekend of the 2022 season, will offer great days out for rail fans and families alike, especially if the fine weather continues.
