Trains and boats and planes – Model Mania at the Middy this weekend 28th and 29th August

As well as the ever popular displays of the late lamented Hornby varieties of models from Hornby Collectors Club, Model Mania is spreading both wings and ‘fins’ this weekend with displays from the Mid-Suffolk Radio Control Model Club, Tiny Flying Legends recreating Duxford’s Flying Legends in 1:72 scale, the Norwich Model Boat Club and the Gipping Valley Model Boat Club. Truly an epic range of models of all sorts and sizes including, of course, trains and other vehicles.

The 115 year old Cockerill Steam tram will be the train engine with help from one of the Middy’s diesel locos and all the usual MSLR facilities, cafe, bar, museum and picnic area will be open to make it a fascinating and entertaining day out, especially for families.
