Sunday 26th May
10.00 First Eastern Counties Bus Preservation Group shuttle bus service from Stowmarket Station to Brockford
11.00 Home Guard Inspection and march to the Village War Memorial
12.00 Live forties music with Sarah Mai
13.00 Battle of Britain Memorial flight Spitfire flypast
15.00 Live interview with Josef Bobrowicz from Philadelphia. Joe is a 99 year old tail gunner veteran from the 18th Bomb Squadron who flew 35 USAAF missions from Mendlesham in 1944/5
Monday 27th May
12.00 Dad’s Army performance
12.30 Live forties music with Sarah Mai
14.30 Home Guard bayonet practice at Dovebrook Station
15.45 Home Guard shooting practice
16.30 Last Eastern Counties Bus Preservation Group service to Stowmarket Station
Both Days
There will be non-stop action and entertainment, which of course includes all the usual Middy attractions, constant steam train running which you can ride as often as you like, Middy Museum and 34th USAAF Bomb Group Museum, Restoration Shed, memorabilia stalls, WVS display, tea Room and Real Ale Bar. Great days out for enthusiasts and families alike.
