‘Sir Berkeley’ arrives for Easter
‘Sir Berkeley’ the 125 year old Manning Wardle 0-6-0 saddle tank arrived at Brockford today 14th April and will be in steam for the Middy Gala this weekend on Sunday 20th and Monday 21st April. Built in Leeds in 1890 this locomotive is from the generation of engines with no overall cab for crew protection and is a real show stopper and a delight to see performing at this great age. Now owned by the Vintage Carriage Trust, ‘Sir Berkeley’ completes the trio of locomotives on display and at work this Easter.
at the Middy.
