Model wagons

The MTC occasionally commissions special OO gauge model wagons which replicate some of the vehicles seen on the original MSLR and other railways in East Anglia. They are all limited edition and are produced specially for the MTC by Dapol Ltd.

This year the MTC is pleased to announce its 19th specially-commissioned wagon, with a production run of 214.

The livery is based on that of a 7-plank coal wagon owned by the Portland Cement company Masons of Claydon. Originally located in Waldringfield, they moved to their Claydon works in 1913 and were subsequently taken over in 1948 by Associated Portland Cement Manufactures Ltd, later to become Blue Circle. Production continued on this site until the late 90’s. 

The wagons feature the NEM coupling pockets and are supplied with a removeable coal load. Each wagon is supplied with a numbered limited edition certificate. Wagons are available in pristine or weathered condition. Prices are the same for either version.

Also available exclusively from Middy Trading Company is our standard MID SUFFOLK NO 14, last years limited edition MOY wagon and a few remaining COOTE & WARREN wagons. All available in the shop or by mail order.

They are available in pristine and weathered condition, so please specify which style of wagon you would like. Prices are the same for both types.

All wagons are priced at £12.00 each and are only available from Middy Trading Co Ltd. The price including postage and packaging is: one at £15.75, two at £28.40 or three at £41.00. Please specify ‘Pristine’ or ‘Weathered’. If you do not specify the finish, we will assume you want a ‘Pristine’ model.
