Middy in the 1940s ‘Live’

Middy in the 1940s is always a special event, but this year promises to be even more of an attraction as during the weekend there will be an array of talent plus a Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Spitfire flypast, in addition to all the displays and re-enactments and ,of course, steam trains.

The Middy will be open from 10.30 am and trains will run continuously throughout the day. On Sunday 26th May around 13.00 we are expecting to have the Spitfire flypast, subject as ever to weather conditions, and on Monday 27th we will be entertained by none other than Captain Mainwaring and Dad’s Army during the day.

Both days will feature live music from Sarah Mai, a great performer of the great music of the time. Sarah will have morning and afternoon sets on both days.

History brought to life!
