Suffolk Craft Fair Day

This event has now been cancelled but the Middy will still be open on 19th July as a normal Steam Railway Day.

The original purpose of the Middy was to bring coal in and transport out, usually agricultural products,  to the wider world. Until transport improved Mid-Suffolk mainly looked after its own needs making and/or creating answers to whatever was required to satisfy local requirements.

The Craft Fair will bring locally produced products and examples of skills of yesteryear plus, of course rides in our steam hauled vintage trains. Living history!

As well as regular steam train rides all of the usual facilities will be open, including the Museum, Restoration Shed, Tea Room and the Middy Bar.

Duty loco will be the Peckett 0-4-0 ST ‘May’.
